Heinkel Kabine 200 Typ 153

The Heinkel Kabine 200 Typ 153 was a variant of the popular microcar produced by Heinkel in the late 1950s and early 1960s. This model featured a 198 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, which produced about 10 horsepower. It was slightly more powerful than earlier models, allowing for improved performance and a top speed of around 90 km/h (56 mph).

The Kabine 200 retained the three-wheel design of the earlier models, along with the distinctive front-opening door. It also had a rear-mounted engine and a rear-wheel-drive configuration. Like other microcars of the era, it was built for efficiency and urban maneuverability, with a lightweight body and simple mechanics, which made it economical to run and maintain.

The Heinkel Kabine 200 Typ 153, with its higher engine displacement, was designed to offer better performance for longer drives, while still maintaining the compact design and ease of use that made the Kabine series popular in post-war Europe. Today, it is considered a collectible microcar and is admired for its quirky design and practicality.
