The Austin A55 Cambridge Mk II LC was a long-wheelbase version of the standard A55 Mk II, designed primarily for the taxi and chauffeur-driven market. Introduced in 1959, it featured an extended body that provided additional rear passenger space, making it a practical choice for taxi operators and businesses requiring a comfortable and spacious vehicle.

Like the standard A55 Mk II, it was powered by the reliable 1.5-liter B-Series engine, delivering around 51 horsepower. The four-speed manual gearbox ensured smooth operation, while the suspension system provided a comfortable ride, even over rough roads.
